Services are provided primarily by two pediatricians, who collectively have over twenty years of experience caring for children. They have expertise in preventative, integrative, and hospital-based medicine, including emergency, intensive and well baby care.

Dr. Oded Herbsman completed medical school at Duke University and pediatric residency at the University of California in San Francisco. He served as Medical Director of Pediatric Inpatient Services, Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division, and Vice Chair for the Department of Pediatrics at California Pacific Medical Center. He helped found the Sutter Health Childhood Asthma Initiative to standardize guidelines for the treatment of asthma. He is a certified medical acupuncturist and Chinese herbal practitioner with a special interest in complementary and alternative medicine. Dr. Herbsman is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and resides in Marin County with his wife and two children.

Dr. Steven Martel was a math and science teacher prior to studying medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Vermont and pediatric residency training at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Martel served as the Director of Critical Care Pediatric and Neonatal Transport and Assistant Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division at California Pacific /Medical Center. Dr. Martel is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and was recently elected to the Chapter Board as a Member-at-Large. He is a certified infant massage instructor and has special interest in the care of children with chronic medical issues.
